We are looking for 18-25 year olds to join our 10 month internship programme, geared to help you develop your skill set and leadership capabilities, through serving in church youth ministry around Dublin & Glendalough. We want to help you grow as a person, to deepen your faith in God and to leave with some brilliant experiences and great life skills!
Interns will be matched to a local church, where you will help run and develop youth ministry. You will also be part of the DGYC team at regional and national youth events and will get to work alongside other christian youth organizations around the country.
Our priority is that you are growing in your faith with God, so we’ll be ensuring you get to go on retreats, and to christian events as well as encouraging personal faith habits.
We want young people to know that God cares for them, and that their lives can be better with Him at the center. You can be part of that!

interns will be part of the Winter Madness team, hosting a national worship event in Dublin
the year will finish with getting a chance to be part of the team at Summer Madness, Ireland’s largest Christian youth festival
after the internship, there will be career and employment opportunities within DGYC and beyond

we will protect your time off! the internship will start in September 2025, with half term holidays and 2 weeks off at Christmas and Easter*. the year will finish the first week in July 2026, giving you the full summer to use as you wish
the work week will be on average 30 hours, with consistent days off
we will pay for you to participate in at least two retreats during the year - giving a chance for you to be renewed in your faith, to spend time with others, and relax
we don’t want this year to be a financial strain, so you will be given ‘pocket money’ and work expenses are covered
*exceptions to this may be if there is a seasonal event and will be agreed in advance
supervision
each intern will work closely with our youth ministry coordinator, Emma. they will also have a mentor (to help with personal, professional and spiritual growth) and a day-to-day supervisor in their church placement

This is a brand new internship for DGYC. But do not worry. Emma, our Youth Ministry Coordinator, has many years of experience working with interns, providing training, and generally being a pretty sound person.

We will make sure you get on two retreats, with youth leaders and/or young adults from other christian organisations/churches, from around Ireland.
